Who we are

Sawakami Asset Management (Thailand) is the Bangkok-based arm of Sawakami Asset Management Inc., a Japanese asset manager with a 20+ year track record and more than 100,000 investors nationwide. We build and manage mutual funds around a single conviction: invest in companies whose products and services genuinely meet people's everyday needs, and hold them for the long term as engaged owners — not passive ticket-punchers.

We're a small, still-growing team in Thailand, which means the analyst we hire won't be buried in a large hierarchy — you'll have direct visibility with our Investment Committee and real ownership over the names you cover from day one.

The role

We're looking for an Asia Equity analyst to help build and maintain our investable universe, drive our stewardship approach as an active shareholder, and keep our approved names honest through disciplined, recurring financial review. You'll work closely with the Investment Committee rather than simply feeding it — your calls on what to add, drop, or vote on directly shape the portfolio.

What you'll do

・Conduct fundamental securities research across Asian equities, with particular focus on Chemicals, Energy, Electronics, and AI-related sectors

・Propose additions to and removals from our investment universe, backed by your own analysis

・Recommend how we vote at AGMs/EGMs for portfolio holdings, and propose follow-up actions where a periodic review flags a concern

・Run periodic financial reviews on all names in our approved stock list and bring your findings and recommendations to the Investment Committee

・Take on other research and portfolio-support assignments as they come up

What we're looking for

Required

・At least 1 year of experience as a buy-side or sell-side analyst doing equity research and analysis

Strong pluses

・A background in Engineering or AI

・Working Japanese, or familiarity with Japanese equities

・Progress toward or holding an Investment Analyst License, CISA, or CFA

คุณสมบัติ 

• อายุ 20 ปีขึ้นไป 

• สนใจการลงทุน การเงิน หรือการพัฒนาตนเอง 

• มีทักษะการสื่อสารและมนุษยสัมพันธ์ที่ดี 

• มีความรับผิดชอบและสามารถบริหารเวลาของตนเองได้ 

• มีใบอนุญาตผู้แนะนําการลงทุนอย่างใดอย่างหนึ่ง ดังนี้ 

• ผู้แนะนำการลงทุน IC P1 หรือ Plain product  

• ผู้แนะนำการลงทุน IC P2 หรือ Complex Products (Bond and Mutual Fund)  

• ผู้แนะนำการลงทุน IC P3 หรือ Complex Products (Derivatives) 

• ผู้วางแผนการลงทุน (IP)   

• มีประสบการณ์แนะนำลูกค้าลงทุนในกองทุนรวมอย่างน้อย 1 ปี

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with account opening and facilitate mutual fund subscription and redemption transactions. 

• Comply with the company's Code of Ethics, compliance policies, and regulatory requirements. 

 

Qualifications 

• At least 20 years of age. 

• Passionate about investing, finance, or personal development. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to manage your own schedule effectively. 

• Holds one of the following investment advisor licenses: 

• Investment Consultant (IC) – P1 (Plain Products)  

• Investment Consultant (IC) – P2 (Complex Products: Bonds and Mutual Funds)  

• Investment Consultant (IC) – P3 (Complex Products: Derivatives)  

• Investment Planner (IP) 

• Minimum of one year of experience providing investment advice on mutual funds.
